144 syndicalistes ont été assassinés dans le monde en 2006, plus de 800 ont été battus ou torturés, 5000 arrêtés et 8000 licenciés par leur entreprise, d'après l'Annual Survey of Trade Union Rights Violations, published by the 168-million member International Trade Union Confederation.
